The challenge
Protect people and assets
Although the bank was originally formed as a mutual, new financial sector regulations required it to become an S.p.A. from 2016.
Bank security managers sought new access control to form an integral part of a system which ensures both financial assets and people are fully protected on Creval premises.
Key requirements included:
- A trusted, secure locking alternative to a standard mechanical master-key system
- A powerful, electronic way to administer their system based familiar physical keys
- The flexibility to filter access permissions to individual needs, so not everyone can access every area
The solution
Key-based and electronic
Creval doors are locked with programmable electronic CLIQ cylinders. Staff carry a single battery-powered CLIQ key, programmed with appropriate access permissions. AES encryption is incorporated in all microelectronics.
Key management is easy using software operated from a local PC or securely on the web via a standard browser.
Fine-grained access
Creval’s security manager grants access based on scheduled times and specific doors, right down to the level of individual site user. Time-limited access rights for keys keeps premises secure if a key gets lost.
Audit trails and event logs are collected to the same, fine-grained degree.
CLIQ meets in full our requirements for a secure and reliable locking system.
